Built in 1900 and founded in 1905, Pinacoteca de São Paulo is the most important art museum in Brazil and the oldest in São Paulo. With more than seven thousand pieces of artwork, Pinacoteca keeps mainly a collection of Brazilian art from 19th and 20th centuries. Currently it has several art exhibitions (live or not), a good opportunity for those who like to enjoy art while spending little money.
Nearest subway station: Luz - Blue Line - Four minutes walk from the station.


Tickets: children up to ten, and elderly people over sixty: free entrance
Others: R$ 6,00 - students half price. Check for free tickets.
Saturdays: free entrance for everybody.
